Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description

The Classic Cuvée is one of Nyetimber's excellent and original English sparkling wines. The Nyetimber winery is located in West Chiltington, in English West Sussex; here, on a property that extends for about 170 hectares of chalky soil, thanks also to the ideal microclimate, very high quality vines are grown for the production of the best sparkling wines in England. The Classic Cuvée is one of them, produced mainly from chardonnay, pinot meunier and pinot noir grape varieties. After the harvest, the best grapes are selected and placed in the Champenoise/Classic Method sparkling process. This wine remains to ferment on the lees, away from the light and at a temperature of a few tens of degrees, for a good 42 months; once the second fermentation is complete, the sparkling wine is degorged and the yeasts deposited on the cork are finally eliminated. The final product is a delicate, elegant and intensely perfumed sparkling wine. A real surprise, absolutely comparable with Cava, Franciacorta and Champagne!
