It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG "Collepiano" is a great red wine, produced by the Arnaldo Caprai winery with the aim of enhancing the Umbrian territory and its wine heritage. In the Montefalco area, in fact, the peasant traditions of the past are still alive, of which the product in question becomes a perfect representative. This red, characterized by a well-defined tannic texture and a soft and structured body, is obtained from the "rough" 100% Sagrantino grapes that grow on hilly terrain: hence the name of the wine. The Sagrantino vine is native to Umbria and is known throughout the world for the marked personality it is able to give to wine. The high quality of the grapes is due not only to the mild climate of the place, but also to the predominantly calcareous composition of the soil. The Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG "Collepiano" is a powerful and at the same time elegant wine, it has a great tannin that suggests the future, in the sense of a truly long-lasting potential, certainly over 10 years. For this reason it is left to refine for 22 months in oak barriques and for another 6 in the bottle. During this period, but also and above all after bottling, when properly stored, the wine promises an evolution of its characteristics, in the sense of complexity and elegance that few other grapes can afford. The most important occasions represent the ideal time to uncork and enjoy this exceptional wine.
