'Conte della Vipera' Umbria IGT Castello della Sala Antinori 2022

The Conte della Vipera from the Umbrian Castello della Sala Antinori winery is a prestigious white wine obtained from a blend made up of Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Sémillon (20%) of vines grown within the Castello della Sala estate, in a few kilometers from Orvieto. The result of an exceptional blend of two typical Bordeaux grapes, this white wine has brought home several awards, including the Vitae AIS one, which defined it as one of the best wines ever. A refined wine, product of a rigorously hand-made harvest and meticulous selection of the grapes, followed by a vinification in steel, where the wine also stops for refinement, after which it is blended and bottled. However, before being marketed the Conte della Vipera must mature for another year in the bottle. The result is a truly extraordinary wine, with a good structure, fresh, harmonious and persistent. Excellent drunk young and very interesting if enjoyed after a period of rest in the cellar, where it can easily remain for 2 or 3 years.
