Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description

How was Crystal born? From a personal request, in 1876, of Tsar Alexander II directly to Louis Roederer; he wanted to have a cuvée for his exclusive and personal use. Louis then proposed a transparent crystal bottle in which to elaborate the best selection of the 7 crus of his estate. Thus was born the Cristal, which took its name from the flat-bottomed transparent bottle, at the time made of crystal, used by Roederer to bottle this magnificent sparkling wine.

2008 is a unique vintage, able to impress all enthusiasts (and not only!) for the intensity and aroma that distinguishes it. The grapes that go into the composition of this prestigious cuvée, which have made its name famous all over the world, come from vineyards classified 100% in the crus scale, harmoniously distributed among the noblest areas of Champagne , all owned by the of the Roederer winery.

As Jean Baptiste Lecaillon (chef de cave and general manager of Roederer) said: " In the wine there is the beautiful texture of maturity together with the clear sheen of acidity combined with the crispest chalky notes. Perhaps the most Cristal of the Cristals, a paradigm for those to come. He already drinks very well today, he's a boy, but he can age 20-30 years, it took him 10 years to open up and there's no doubt about his longevity ."
