It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description
Dirupi Valtellina Superiore DOCG is a full-bodied and structured red wine from the Dirupi winery. It is obtained from the vinification of only Nebbiolo grapes, which in these areas is called Chiavennasca. On the terraces facing south, the old vines have their roots in the morainic soil with a good presence of sandstone. The vineyards are arranged on an area with particularly steep slopes between 450 and 600 meters above sea level. The harvest is therefore considered "heroic" and involves a careful manual selection of the best bunches. Once in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment in steel tanks for about a month. In this phase the maceration in contact with the skins also takes place. For the refinement, oak barrels of different sizes are used, where the wine rests for a year before bottling. Dirupi Valtellina Superiore DOCG boasts the potential to evolve further following a rest of 5-6 years.
