In the heart of Supramonte, in the province of Nuoro, the "Giuseppe Gabbas" winery produces the Dulè Cannonau di Sardegna DOC wine; the company has about 20 hectares of vineyards and these are exclusively indigenous such as Cannonau. The vines are located in a valley at a height of about 350 meters on a granite-type soil which manages to maintain a uniform rate of humidity in all seasons. The territory is characterized by a not too high temperature range, thanks also to the distance of about fifteen kilometers as the crow flies from the sea. The Cannonau di Sardegna DOC "Dule" wine (which takes its name from the vineyard of the same name) is produced from 100% Cannonau red berries and after the harvest it is fermented on the skins for about 25 days. At the end of the fermentation, it is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques; subsequently the wine is bottled and further refined for another year, always in the bottle. The Cannonau di Sardegna DOC "Dule" wine is a wine with a strong and intense character, now ready for tasting, balanced and harmonious, after having aged for a few years. At sight it is ruby red in color with garnet reflections. The nose expresses over time complex sensations of ripe red fruit, balsamic and spicy notes. On the palate it is enveloping, warm, with elegant tannins, persistence and great drinkability. A wine with a strong personality, to be combined with important meat dishes.
