Edda Bianco IGT Salento produced by Cantine San Marzano is a wine made from a blend of 80% Chardonnay grapes, 15% Moscatello Selvatico and 5% Fiano. The grapes are grown in the traditional way in the typical sapling vineyards in the San Marzano area, in the Apulian Salento; here the shallow soils and the sunny and breezy Mediterranean climate give life to a fresh and truly intense product. Cantine San Marzano was born from a small group of 19 producers that has grown over the years; today the cooperative has 1200 members who work around 1500 hectares of land. As for the wine, after the harvest the grapes are cold macerated for a few hours and then delicately pressed to then ferment inside French oak barriques; the refinement lasts 4 months on the lees. The Edda Bianco IGT Salento wine can be drunk immediately or left to mature in the cellar for a period of up to 5 years. The wine offers all the flavors and sensations of Salento, fresh and pleasant, it is a real treat for the palate.
