Description
Essentija Bovale Isola dei Nuraghi IGT is a red wine with an important structure, produced by the Sardinian winery Pala . It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Bovale grapes, a vine of Spanish origin present for centuries in Sardinian territory. On the vineyards of Uras and San Nicolò d'Arcidano, the vines of at least eighty years of age are cultivated according to the traditional sapling method until the harvest. After destemming, maceration is foreseen, which lasts for about ten days. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats. The refinement involves several steps, the first of which lasts four months in underground cement tanks. After about two years of rest in French oak barrels, the wine remains for another six months in the bottle. Essentija Bovale Isola dei Nuraghi IGT can be appreciated immediately, as well as after a further evolution of more than 5-6 years in the cellar.
