'Excelsus' Toscana Rosso IGT Banfi 2018

Grape variety, family tradition and territory are the determining elements for the production of Excelsus Toscana Rosso IGT by the Banfi family. The latter continues to believe in a project that began decades ago, nurturing it year after year, to offer unique winemaking excellence. It was, in fact, the '70s when the two Mariani brothers founded a winery whose aim was to obtain a high quality standard from a highly suitable area: Montalcino. Excelsus Toscana Rosso IGT is produced only in exceptional years. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon give life to this Supertuscan with a great taste-olfactory impact. All operations follow a precise ritual that begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes and ends with a long refinement of over 20 months. The result is a wine of great structure, charm and enological value that exponentially involves the senses. The drink is pleasant, immediate and with great persistence.
