Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

An ancient vine already known by the Romans, who had imported it from Greece, Falanghina takes its name from the falanga cultivation system which involved tying the stems of the vine to a pole. Its small, round, intense yellow berries were once very common also for home consumption thanks to their sweetness and savouriness. Today Falanghina is one of the most widespread and appreciated vines in the Campania region. Falanghina has a light straw yellow color with greenish reflections and smells of citrus fruits, pineapple and pear. Thanks to its freshness and its pleasantly fruity aroma, Falanghina is appreciated both as an aperitif and as a companion to fish dishes, perhaps with a tartare of cod and Ribera oranges, white meats, for example with veal meatballs with sesame, and not too mature cheeses: a wine with an easy and immediate pleasantness, which knows how to be appreciated by everyone.
