Faro DOC Le Casematte 2021 MAGNUM Wooden Box

From the hills overlooking the Strait of Messina, in the locality of Faro Superiore, an important wine sees the light, the Faro DOC Le Casematte. The production vineyards reach up to 500 meters above sea level, always looking at the sea and obtaining from its proximity, combined with the splendid Sicilian sun, an excellent microclimate. The wine comes from a blend of 4 varieties historically present in the area: Nerello Mascalese 55%; Nerello Cappuccino 25%; Nocera 10% and Nero d'Avola 10%. The harvest is manual. After the red vinification, with maceration on the skins, it ages for a period of at least 9 months in French oak barriques and tonneau (large barrels) and concludes the refinement with a further 6 months in the bottle. Il Faro is a red with a sunny and Mediterranean profile, which conquers for its aromatic intensity and the complex harmony of its bouquet: it is a perfect balance of the four grapes that compose it. The wine has an intense and brilliant ruby red colour. The olfactory framework is characterized by floral scents, aromas of small berries, spicy, woody scents and nuances of Mediterranean scrub herbs. On the palate it is deep, with good structure, rich, dense fruit, fine tannic texture and good freshness. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant savory finish. Faro DOC Le Casematte offers refined sensations with a decidedly elegant, balanced and intense taste.
