Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "Fermavento" is a wine that is born directly in the heart of Romagna, from the expert hands of the owners of the Giovanna Madonia farm. Along the slopes of the Montemaggio hill, for fourteen hectares of land between woods and olive groves, the vineyards of the cellar extend, cultivated "alberello". The soil rich in limestone and clay and the mild climate are essential factors in the cultivation of vines. The process that leads to the packaging of Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "Fermavento" begins with a meticulous harvest carried out by hand; once the best bunches have been selected, pressing and fermentation are carried out; the wine undergoes a slow maturation process in barriques, lasting about a year, and finally another refinement in the bottle, for about eight months. This production process culminates in the creation of one of the most typical and qualitative expressions of the Romagna taste for wine: the Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore "Fermavento" is a warm, full-bodied red rich in surprising olfactory and gustatory reflections, a great wine.
