Friulano 'San Lorenzo' Collio DOC I Clivi 2019

Friulano San Lorenzo Collio DOC is a white wine with intense aromas produced by the I Clivi winery. It is obtained from the vinification of Friulano grapes, an ancient variety previously called Tocai. On Mount Quarin, near Gorizia, stands the San Lorenzo vineyard which gives its name to the wine. Here the almost centenary vines meet an optimal environment for growth, thanks to the south-west exposure and the peculiarities of the microclimate. When they reach the ideal level of ripeness, the healthiest bunches are selected and harvested by hand. In the cellar, the processes begin with destemming, followed by spontaneous fermentation of the grapes on indigenous yeasts in large stainless steel vats. In the same containers the wine rests for a year on the lees before being bottled. Excellent immediately, Friulano San Lorenzo Collio DOC is a white that can be enjoyed with satisfaction after a couple of years of further evolution in the cellar.
