Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

The Fruttaio Ca Rizzieri Sforzato della Valtellina DOCG red wine from the Aldo Rainoldi winery is obtained using only the best quality Nebbiolo grapes. The land where the vines are located is about 500 meters above sea level, on soils rich in mineral salts, in the heart of Valtellina; this wine fully represents heroic viticulture: the vineyards are literally climbing and perched on the steepest and most inaccessible slopes of the Rhaetian side. The particular climatic conditions ensure that the plants supply grapes of notable value. The cellar also boasts a long tradition in the production of fine wines, combining passion and work. Sforzato della Valtellina follows a precise production process. It is the only wine, together with Amarone di Valpolicella, to be produced with dried grapes and to be a dry wine. The harvest begins only when the grapes have reached a high sugar content, which is further increased with a prolonged drying period in the dry attics of Valtellina, known as fruit cellars. After fermentation, it is aged in French oak barriques, before aging in the bottle. The result is an important, robust but elegant, well-structured wine. A warm, persuasive, vigorous, intense, austere, full-bodied and harmonious red. A red that goes perfectly with local game and aged cheeses, but which can also be tasted as a meditation wine.
