Gavi 'Villa Scolca' La Scolca 2021

Gavi DOCG Villa Scolca is an interesting white wine made by the La Scolca winery. Obtained with 100% pure Cortese grapes, it comes to life in the hills of the lower Alessandria area. The Piedmontese province on the border with Liguria is in fact the perfect territory where the Cortese vineyards can grow. The strong clayey component, combined with favorable sun exposure and excellent ventilation, allows excellent development of the bunches. During the harvest at the beginning of October, only the best quality grapes are selected. Once the destemming has taken place, in a delicate way so as not to damage the precious berries, the vinification can begin. The must is left to rest in stainless steel containers for a few weeks. The refinement always takes place in these containers and involves the maturation of the wine on indigenous yeasts for at least 4 months. the Gavi DOCG Villa Scolca is perfect for immediate consumption and is decidedly pleasant, versatile and fresh.
