The Alto Adige Gewürztraminer DOC is a very good South Tyrolean aromatic white wine produced by the historic Cantina di Caldaro-Kaltern. Made with pure Gewürztraminer grapes from 6-21 year old vines, this wine is a real excellence within the wine scene of Südtirol. A white wine of considerable depth that boasts several awards, among which three important golds emerge: at the famous Japanese wine competition Sakura Women's Wine Award, at the coveted IWSC award and at the Japan Wine Challenge. The result of a late harvest, the Alto Adige Gewürztraminer DOC is the result of a 12-hour cold maceration, followed by a soft pressing, a natural decantation, a fermentation and a subsequent maturation of 3 months in steel tanks stainless. The result is a long-lasting wine that stands out for its compactness and freshness. A truly irresistible dry white to try, with intoxicating and persuasive aromas, softness and enveloping, enriched by light, fresh and fragrant nuances. Elegantly aromatic.
