Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Intense and fragrant, the Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC made by the Kettmeir winery is a faithful expression of this territory. On the hills of Caldaro and Termeno, at an altitude of 400 m, the vineyards enjoy clayey soil and favorable climatic conditions for the cultivation of this vine, whose grapes are rich in varietal scents. Between the end of September and the beginning of October, once they have reached perfect aromatic ripeness, the grapes are carefully harvested. In the cellar, a white vinification is carried out, which involves a quick maceration on the skins. The purpose of this process, carried out at a controlled temperature, is to extract as much as possible all the typical perfumed notes. Then follows a fermentation in steel and an aging on the lees of variable duration according to the vintage. Thanks to its thousand aromatic nuances, Gewürztraminer Alto Adige DOC can accompany spicy dishes and Asian cuisine and is perfect to be enjoyed young.
