Description

Gewurztraminer Vendemmia Tardiva was born in the historic region of Alsace; the Gruss winery, located in the center of the splendid village of Eguisheim, gives life to this very special white wine. The vineyard area is characterized by a hot and dry climate which, thanks to the Vosges mountain group, remains sheltered from icy winds; the soil is marble and calcareous, excellent for a luxuriant growth of the vine. The grapes grown for the production of Gewurztraminer Vendemmia Tardiva are white and noble berries, thanks to the 100% Gewurztraminer vine; the characteristic note of this wine is given by the choice of the Gruss winery to carry out the late harvest, collecting the bunches after the physiological ripening: this choice of harvest will give life to a wine with a higher concentration of sugars and a lower percentage of acidity, particular characteristics and peculiar. The fermentation of Gewurztraminer Vendemmia Tardiva takes place in steel tanks, the aging instead takes place in oak barrels for twelve months. In the glass we find a bright golden yellow color. The scent is unmistakable, intense, strongly musky and aromatic. On the palate it is soft, sweet, persuasive, spicy and robust in body. Excellent as a meditation wine, it can also be paired with white meats or smoked fish.
