Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for others 3-4 years

Description

Ghemme Riserva DOCG "Costa del Salmino", a great red from the Rovellotti farm, is characterized by a warm and enveloping body and pleasant round but present tannins. The wine is born in the charming village known as Ricetto di Ghemme, in the province of Novara, whose winemaking tradition is based on the use of natural ingredients and total respect for the environment. The grapes reach an optimal state of ripeness thanks to the use of modern biological methods and to the peculiar composition of the soil, rich in mineral salts. For the Ghemme Riserva DOCG "Costa del Salmino" Nebbiolo vines are used and, to a lesser extent, Vespolina. The cellar takes meticulous care of every single phase of the production process, from fermentation in steel to refinement first in oak barrels and then in the bottle: precisely 42 months in large Swiss oak barrels from the Jura and at least 9 months in the bottle. Longevity: bottled in the spring of the fourth year, it is a meditation wine with a great character, complex and elegant, exceptionally long-lived. Ghemme Riserva DOCG "Costa del Salmino" is ruby red with garnet hues: it is a complex wine, persistent in the finish, elegant and pleasantly velvety, dry, warm, full.
