Vinopuro's advices

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for white wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile and this is possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

Description

The Goldert Alsace AOC is one of the fine white wines of Domaine Zind Humbrecht. The winery is located in the small village of Turckheim, in Alsace; here the fertile calcareous soil, cultivated exclusively using biodynamic agriculture techniques, produces some of the best grapes in the region. The wine in question is made entirely from gewürztraminer grapes, otherwise known as aromatic traminer. The harvest is completed in October, when ripening is already forwarded; moreover this is done manually, in order to select the best bunches already in the vineyard. Once the harvest phase is over, the grapes are transferred to the cellar, where they are pressed and the must undergoes a slow fermentation process. Before being bottled, the wine is left to age on the lees for about 2 years. The Goldert Alsace AOC obtained with this procedure is an aromatic, complex white with a truly rich nose. The taste is powerful and intense, as is typical of this specific Cru. Beautiful freshness and final persistence with the advantage of never being cloying. It is characterized above all by its extreme longevity, given the ability to preserve its taste and aromas for over thirty years (!).
