Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for light and medium-structured white wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Grillo Costadune wine is part of the Mandrarossa line, the strong point of the production of Cantine Settesoli, the largest Sicilian winery. As the name suggests, Costadune derives from the Grillo vine which was used for many years for the production of blended wines destined for northern Italy and abroad. In recent decades, the situation has, fortunately, changed drastically, so much so that many producers have begun to exploit this vine decisively for the production of high quality wines. Produced in the Menfi area, directly overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Grillo Costadune derives from vines rooted on sandy dunes, pruned with the Guyot technique, typical for farming on arid soils. The vinification is done with a process that involves low temperatures and subsequent fermentation in steel barrels. These techniques make it an intense wine, with a good note of sapidity and acidity and with a good structure. Pairings of the Sicilian tradition, especially with fish!
