'Grumello' Nebbiolo Valtellina Superiore DOCG Nino Negri 2019

Grumello Nebbiolo Valtellina Superiore DOCG is an intense and fragrant red wine, produced by the Lombard winery Nino Negri . It is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Nebbiolo grapes, a native vine that expresses itself excellently in the sun of the Alps. The terraced plots stand on land that is distinguished by its considerable slope and the high concentration of rocks and minerals. When they have reached full maturity, the bunches are subjected to careful manual selection. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks. For the refinement, the company focuses on French and Slavonian oak barrels, where the wine rests for at least a year. Perfect already after bottling, Grumello Nebbiolo Valtellina Superiore DOCG is a red that boasts good potential for further evolution, if carefully stored for at least 4 or 5 years.
