The spearhead of the Maremma area, Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Rosso Superiore is a Tuscan red wine made by the Guado al Tasso winery of the Marchesi Antinori. Produced from the Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Rosso Superiore is one of the most appreciated and well-known Italian wines in the world. Its success is due to the centuries-old tradition of the Marchesi Antinori and to the beauty of the area (called the Bolgheri amphitheater) where the vines are located. The characteristics of Guado al Tasso are linked to the production process: the grapes, harvested manually, are carefully selected with a preference for the ripest bunches, it is fermented in steel barrels and aged in wood for more than a year.
