'The Prince' Nebbiolo Langhe DOC Michele Chiarlo 2021

The Principe Nebbiolo Langhe DOC from the Chiarlo Michele winery is a red of great territorial expressiveness that represents a classic and traditional version of the Nebbiolo grape variety. The vines come from the area of the Langhe DOC denomination, precisely one part is raised on soils composed of clayey-limestone marl, while the other grows on a rather sandy soil. Thanks to the rich terroir and a breezy climate, the optimal ripening of the grapes is reached around the first ten days of October. After the manual harvesting operations, the fermentation phase follows which takes place in steel containers. The wine completes its production process with a particular refinement, it is in fact aged first in steel, then in oak barrels and finally in the bottle for a total of 12 months. At the end of this time, Principe Nebbiolo Langhe DOC proves to be suitable for immediate drinking, however it can remain in the cellar for a few more years.
