Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Sasso Carmignano DOCG is a structured and intense red wine signed by Piaggia, the historic winery that interprets the Carmignano denomination. Obtained from a blend of Sangiovese (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, respectively present for an overall 20% and finally Merlot (10%), this red wine is able to tell the territory it represents in an extremely faithful way. The grapes of these vines find an ideal microclimate on the hills where the Piaggia vineyards are located, thanks to which they are able to give perfect grapes. The result is a full-bodied and at the same time refined red wine, which follows a completely traditional and respectful vinification of the raw material. After the harvest and maceration, the refinement phase takes place in small French oak barrels, where the wine acquires particularly elegant structure and scents. Sasso Carmignano DOCG is perfect to accompany a formal dinner based on elaborate dishes. Excellent to drink young, it can benefit from a few years of aging in the cellar.
