Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

The Aglianico del Taburno DOC "Iovi Tonant", from Masseria Frattasi, is a velvety and complex red, rightly tannic and with a persistent finish. The product, as can be deduced from the denomination, is dedicated to Giove Tonante: a clear reference to the suggestion of the classical world and to the "power" of the wine in question. After all, a temple in the town of Caudium was dedicated to the father of the gods, on whose remains stands the current Montesarchio, headquarters of the cellar. For this red, Aglianico grapes are used, an authentic emblem of the southern Italian winemaking tradition. The vineyards grow in optimal conditions thanks to the temperate climate of the area and the volcanic nature of the cultivation soil. The farm staff completely excludes synthetic fertilizers and pursues a close bond between man and nature, favored by the use of the organic method. The Aglianico del Taburno DOC "Iovi Tonant" is left to age for 18 months in oak barriques. Red with violet reflections. Inebriating scents of wild blackberries, blueberries, red plum jam. Dense, pulpy, long persistent. Minty freshness and balsamic notes of licorice. Great aging wine.
