'Iskra' Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Reserve 'Marina Cvetic' Masciarelli 2017

Iskra Riserva Marina Cvetic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is a red wine produced by the Masciarelli winery. It is obtained from the vinification of only grapes of the native Montepulciano vine. The owned vineyards are located on the hillsides of the Controguerra area, a locality located between the relief of the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea. The plots are located about 250 meters above sea level and enjoy the positive effects of the microclimate and sun exposure. When they reach the ideal level of ripeness, the bunches are selected and harvested by hand. In the cellar, the vinification begins with the fermentation in steel vats with rigorous temperature monitoring. Aging involves an initial passage of one year in oak barriques, followed by a two-year rest in the bottle. Iskra Riserva Marina Cvetic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC boasts a good potential for further evolution of 5-6 years.
