Jefferson Amaro Importante is a liqueur produced at the Vecchio Magazzino Doganale distillery. The agricultural society boasts creations with an authentic and natural flavor that are based on ancient recipes, handed down by shipwrecked people in love with Calabria. The amaro is made from the infusion of some herbs and "botanicals" grown and carefully selected in the area surrounding the distillery, such as: grapefruit, bitter orange, sweet orange, lemon, absinthe, vanilla and bergamot. The union of these spices is mixed with rosemary, oregano, gentian, rhubarb and eucalyptus and a percentage of white cane sugar, in order to obtain the right balance and complexity. Finally, a composition of alcohol and cereals made up of wheat, corn and barley is added. It takes 9 months to prepare, followed by 40 days of rest in the bottle. Jefferson Amaro Importante is an elegant and harmonious liqueur, which has an unlimited time to be tasted.
