Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

Kapnios Aglianico Beneventano IGT is an interesting label proposed by the Campania winery Masseria Frattasi, an important production pearl that offers organic terroir wines. Mentioned by the ancient Greek playwright Plato the Comedian, this red has a name that derives from the Greek term smoked. A denomination that is not accidental, given that the wine is obtained by drying the grapes which gives it a smoky flavour. Result of the vinification of pure Aglianico, this label comes from the fruits of the vines grown on a soil rich in clay and limestone, planted at a height ranging from 500 meters to 600 meters above sea level. After a meticulous manual harvest carried out in the second ten days of November, the grapes are left to dry in the open loft. Subsequently follows a process of vinification in red. Finally, the Kapnios Benevento Aglianico IGT is first aged in French oak barriques for 18 months, then aged in the bottle for a long period. The final product is a full and balanced sip label. A warm, juicy red with a satisfying finish.
