This typical red wine from Niklas takes its name from the territory of origin. The wine is produced from Schiava grapes from the vineyards that surround the lake, have a southern and eastern exposure and stand at an altitude of 230 meters above sea level, even reaching 450 meters. The soil is calcareous, clayey of medium texture. The vinification involves fermentation on the skins with maceration for a week at a controlled temperature. Then the malolactic fermentation and the aging of 4 months on the fine lees in steel tanks and concrete barrels. In organoleptic examination, this wine has a brilliant ruby red colour. The scent is fruity, of cherry and raspberry, broad and enveloping hints of bitter almond. The taste is sapid and soft on the palate, easy to drink. It goes well with dishes of typical cuisine, cured meats and aged cheeses and meat, both stewed and grilled. It has to be served at 15°C in a high, wide wine glass. Reconcile with the world after a long day. A sip of relaxation to be enjoyed with your eyes as well and which projects you onto the shores of Lake Caldaro, where it was born. Exciting!
