Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is produced by the famous Californian winery Beringer, founded in 1876 by the German emigrant Jacon Beringer; it is the oldest continuously operating winery in Napa Valley and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and as a California Historic Landmark. In 1934, it was the first California winery to offer public tours and wine tastings, following the repeal of Prohibition. Knights Valley is an extraordinary wine, the best label of the company and has been considered, for years, among the best American wines (and not only), constantly deserving scores always higher than 90/100 in the rankings of the most important wine magazines in the world , such as Wine Spectator or Wine Advocate, true Bibles of the sector. It is produced with a typically "Bordeaux" blend, i.e. a clear prevalence of Cabernet Sauvignon, with small percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; these naturally vary according to the vintage. To maintain the unique characteristics of the different Crus (vineyard areas with the best grapes), coming from different areas of the various vineyards, each one was carefully monitored before the harvest, carried out rigorously by hand and in several stages, to obtain grapes with the best degree of maturity possible. The 3 vines were vinified separately and the long maceration enhanced the sensation of freshness of the final blend by extracting the maximum of colour, aromas and flavours. The wine was subsequently aged in French oak barrels (15% are new barrels, the others second and third "passage") for 17 months and subjected to malolactic fermentation for further development of texture and softness. In this way, Knights Valley is immediately ready, soft and silky, with persuasive and enveloping tannins. In any case, its power, structure and depth reveal the high aging potential of this wine which, if well preserved, will be able to reserve very pleasant surprises in the future for enthusiasts who will have the desire to leave it for a few years in the cellar to refine and evolve, discovering thus its absolute quality and pleasantness even over time.
