Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

The Bigia Barbera d'Asti DOCG is a wine that comes from the famous Luigi Spertino cellar in Mombercelli, in the province of Asti. The company was founded in 1977 with the intention of producing high quality wines, thanks also to the respectful and artisanal work, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The grapes come from the Barbera vine, a classic expression in this area full of sand and characterized by a temperate climate. All processing phases are carried out manually, in order not to alter the structure of the wine. The harvest is carried out by selecting the best bunches, then we proceed with the fermentation for which only indigenous yeasts are used, with 8-day maceration on the skins. The wine rests in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months before proceeding with bottling. Bigia Barbera d'Asti DOCG is a soft and structured wine, perfect for immediate drinking, but can rest in the cellar for over 5 years.
