Description

The Barbera del Monferrato Sparkling DOC La Monella from the Piedmontese winery Braida is an excellent sparkling red wine produced from 100% Barbera grapes. An interesting Barbera wine, which owes its name, La Monella, to the father of Giacomo Bologna, the absolute protagonist of the selection in the cellar of the most unmanageable and effervescent Barbera. La Monella is in fact an exuberant wine that is characterized by its irrepressible fizz. A DOC which well represents Monferrato and which is the liveliest expression of the history of Braida. The Barbera del Monferrato Sparkling DOC La Monella red wine is the result of carefully selected grapes from the vineyards planted in Rocchetta Tanaro. After the harvest, to produce this wine, the grapes are fermented and macerated on the skins, followed by an aging of 4 months with prize de mousse in an autoclave, after which it is bottled. However, before being marketed, this wine must rest for another 2 months in the bottle. The result is a fresh, very pleasant and full-bodied red.
