'La Segreta Il Rosso' Sicily DOC Planeta 2020

La Segreta il Rosso Sicilia DOC is a wine produced at the prestigious Planeta winery. The family-run company bases its philosophy on the desire to interpret the territory through the enhancement of local native vines. The grapes come from the Nero d'Avola, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet vines, grown on different parcels of land, located on slopes that have altitudes ranging from 40 to 430 meters above sea level, mainly rich in limestone and clay and favored from the typical mild climate of Sicily. After the manual harvest, which takes place between August and the end of September, we proceed with the fermentation in stainless steel tanks with the maceration of about 15 days on the skins in order to acquire greater structure. After the racking phase, the wine needs to rest for a few months in steel and finally it is bottled and put on the market. La Segreta il Rosso Sicilia DOC is an intense and pleasant wine, perfect to drink immediately.
