The Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato The accent of the Montalbera winery is a red wine born from the Ruchè vine in purity. Cultivated in Castagnole Monferrato in the province of Asti, the Ruchè vine is exposed to the south with the hill mostly kissed by the sun's rays. The ripening of the grapes takes place at the end of September and 80% of it is harvested when perfectly ripe while the remaining 20% is harvested directly on the vine with dried grapes. The vinification has a variable duration from 14 to 16 days in direct contact with the pomace and then the wine spends about six months in the bottle, rigorously positioned horizontally and at a controlled temperature. Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Laccento is a perfect wine if left to age, with a garnet color after a few years of aging in the bottle. Winner of numerous awards, some of them given by Gambero Rosso and the Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines, it is a perfect wine to better savor the soul of Piedmont.
