Lagrein South Tyrol DOC Girlan 2022

Lagrein Alto Adige DOC Girlan is a red wine from the Bassa Atesina area produced by the Girlan winery, an old winegrowers' cooperative founded in 1923. Lagrein is a native vine of Alto Adige, a red berried grape that gives a wine with a intense and with a strong taste. Lagrein Alto Adige DOC Girlan comes from sandy soils rich in minerals and clay. Warm and sunny lands, sheltered by the mountains and with an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of Lagrein grapes. To produce this red, the late harvest is done by hand and after fermentation the grapes rest for about 6 months in old oak barrels, until fully ripe. Lagrein Girlan is a fresh and mineral wine like the terroir from which it comes. It is perfect to accompany elegant dinners and to enhance foods with a strong flavor, typical of the mountains.
