It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description
Lagrein Alto Adige DOC is an elegant red produced by the Hofstatter winery, a winery famous for its fine range of wines. This label is obtained from the vinification of only Lagrein grapes, an autochthonous vine recognizable, at first sight, by its very pale colour. The vines are grown on various plots of land located in Ora and Termeno. Thanks to the important presence of minerals, the Dolomite lands give nourishment and refinement to the bunches. Following a separate harvest by lots, the grapes are transported to the cellar. A quick maceration on the skins is followed by fermentation in steel containers at low temperatures. The wine is then left to refine in the same tanks until bottling, which takes place in the spring following the harvest. Lagrein Alto Adige DOC is an ideal red to be appreciated shortly after being put on the market, but it can still offer great surprises following a further evolution of 2-3 years.
