Lagrein Alto Adige DOC Kettmeir 2021

The Lagrein Alto Adige DOC from the Kettmeir winery is a red wine made from 100% Lagrein grapes. The production area is hilly, between 200 and 300 meters high and the land, subject to frequent temperature changes, is well drained and basically sandy, with the vines planted in espaliers and pergolas. The harvesting of the grapes, with the manual method, takes place in the first ten days of the month of October. The vinification takes place with the traditional red method and maceration on the skins, at a temperature between 23 and 26 °C for about 10 days. The refinement phase takes place in large steel barrels, lasts between 5 and 6 months and is followed by bottling. Lagrein Alto Adige DOC is a wine ready for immediate tasting, but it still has qualities that allow, if stored correctly, perfect evolution and aging over time, up to a maximum of 3 years.
