Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Medium Open Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect glass for light and medium-structured red wines; these wines do not require prolonged contact with oxygen to best enhance their bouquet. Indeed, a slightly narrower opening of the glass is recommended: this helps the concentration and the direction of the aromas towards the nose. In this way, the perception of the aromas is increased, enhancing the sensations.

Description

Lagrein is undoubtedly one of the leading grape varieties of Alto Adige and is attracting a lot of interest above all thanks to its fruity taste, enriched by aromatic notes and its soft tannins. This autochthonous vine originates from the Bolzano basin, but for several decades it has been cultivated and vinified, with excellent results, also in Terlano. The production phase is very careful: manual harvest and selection of grapes. Destemming of the berries and subsequent slow fermentation at controlled temperature and delicate handling of the must in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and aging for 7-10 months in large wooden barrels. The skilful work results in a wine with a dark garnet red color and a bouquet where fruity notes predominate, very vinous and harmonious on the palate, with a delicate texture and refined tannins that give Lagrein a very captivating fullness, making it a very intense and velvety.
