'Larigi' Barbera Langhe DOC Elio Altare 2018

In the Piedmont region, which has always been suited to great viticulture, Larigi Barbera Langhe DOC is produced by the Elio Altare winery. The company boasts an ancient family tradition, which has always been characterized by great passion, dedication and love for the territory, together with the desire to experiment. For this wine the grapes are Barbera, a typical vine in this calcareous and sandy area, characterized by the Apennine climate with Po Valley influences. The careful harvest is followed by maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature for about 4 days, followed by the passage in used French barriques for 5 months. The next step is that of refinement which takes place in small wooden barrels for 18 months. Larigi Barbera Langhe DOC is a wine with a full and soft character, ready to be tasted with great satisfaction, but it is possible to keep it in the cellar for a few years, thanks to its longevity.
