'Lepus' Pinot Blanc Alto Adige DOC Franz Haas 2020

Lepus Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC is a wine produced by the Franz Haas winery, which through this label stubbornly demonstrates that it focuses on all the vines of the appellation, including the lesser known. In the case of this label, obtained from Pinot Bianco grapes only, the intention to do justice to a perhaps less widespread variety clearly emerges. The vines are located at high altitude, near Bolzano, where they benefit from factors such as optimal exposure and the mineral richness of the substrate. Once the passage of the harvest has been concluded, which involves a careful selection of the bunches, the vinification involves the use of steel tanks. For ageing, the wine remains in contact with the fine lees for about five months, during which it acquires complexity. Lepus Pinot Bianco Alto Adige DOC is perfect to be enjoyed immediately, but has the ability to evolve further for a couple of years.
