Directly from the heel of Italy, Leverano Rosso intensely expresses the great beauty and unmistakable liveliness of the Salento area. The wine takes its name from Leverano, a Lecce municipality of medieval origin, and comes from the experience and passion for viticulture of the Vecchia Torre winery. A point of reference for the production of quality wines throughout Puglia, the winery chooses to mix quality Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes in its bottles of Leverano Rosso: the result is a genuine DOP red wine with persistent aromas, which is vinified by leaving the skins to macerate together with the must and which arrives on the table after an aging conducted in steel. The vines, among the most representative of the native qualities of Salento, feed on the richness of an alluvial soil with calcareous deposits and enjoy the sunny and windy climate typical of the Ionian coast of Salento. Ideal for an aging of 2/3 or more years, this wine, son of juicy dark and fragrant berries, is distinguished by a balanced, enveloping and velvety structure.
