Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored.

Description

The Toscana Rosso IGT "Lupicaia" is an important wine, the flagship product of the company and was born in the province of Pisa, precisely in the Castellina Marittima area: here, in fact, stands the Castello del Terriccio estate, built in the Middle Ages as a stronghold against enemies. For this great wine Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes are used, the former already known at the time of the ancient Greeks, the latter originating from the French region Médoc. Called Lupicaia" after the homonymous hill on which wolves were often sighted, it is a balanced, velvety wine with a persistent finish. The fermentation of the must in contact with the skins takes place at different times for the two vines. It is a full-bodied red wine , aged in new Allier barriques for about 18 months, rich and structured: a wine for aging and also, if desired, for meditation.Ideally served between 16 and 18 degrees, it can be combined with dishes such as grilled meat, dishes rich in mushrooms , meat with chocolate sauce and seasoned cheeses.
