Stanislao "Stanko" Radikon: great experimenter, his research path began in 1977 among the vineyards of Oslavia, in the Gorizia countryside, dotted with important intuitions for the evolution of Friulian and Italian viticulture: first, at the end of the Eighties , the counter-current bet on wood and the challenge to the contemporary spread of steel (used in the first years of work), with the return to barrique and the production of great Merlots.

Then, since 1995, the improvement of long macerations on the skins of white grapes in large conical vats that replace the barriques, which will give rise to the so-called orange wines , the result of a radical approach both in the vineyard and in the cellar; in parallel with the experiments of another giant of extreme natural viticulture such as Josko Gravner , who was his adventure companion and competitor at the same time. Both are among the "visionaries" of the wine world. Extreme macerations (up to 4 months) and spontaneous fermentations, to produce wines resistant to oxidation, not for everyone. And on the other hand Stanko often repeated it: " I don't expect my wines to be liked by everyone ", rather following a promise he made to himself, to produce good and natural wines. Ribolla Gialla, Oslavia, but also Friulano and Chardonnay. And the ability to make people talk about themselves, whether it was to receive praise or criticism. In 2016, everyone, admirers or skeptics of the Radikon "method", mourns the passing of a great winemaker; the cellar is now in the hands of his son Sasa, who certainly proves to be up to the task.
