Villa Raiano

We are in Irpinia, and precisely in the village of Raiano in the municipality of Serino, in the heart of the Southern Apennines, in Campania. Here we find Villa Raiano, a winery with a recent history, but with great ambitions. Its foundation dates back to 1996, at the hands of the brothers Sabino and Simone Basso and their brother-in-law Paolo Sibillo. In this area, the soils have very particular characteristics, very often variable: they are rich in clay, sand and volcanic ash. From the native varieties of Greco, Fiano, Falanghina and Aglianico, excellent, carefully crafted labels are born, all obtained by scrupulously controlling each step of the production chain, starting from the vineyard to the final bottling. In 2009 the construction of a new cellar took place, completely inserted into the surrounding landscape; it must be said that the estate has just over 22 hectares of vineyards, which are meticulously cared for and managed according to certified organic agricultural methods; this is another very important element of Villa Raiano's production philosophy, namely total respect for the environment and its conservation for the future. In the cellar, we believe in only one dogma: the valorization of the typical Irpinia vines, while at the same time pursuing the highest possible level of quality. In this way, the wines of Villa Raiano are born: prestigious labels, consistent with the territory, technically elegant, intense and balanced; drinkable, engaging wines, but above all to be fully enjoyed until the last sip.

The entire range of labels offered by the Villa Raiano winery is truly able to satisfy all enthusiasts, from the "Classica" line to the "Vigne" line. Whites of great intensity and structured reds which, in some seasons, are further enhanced and exalted by vinifying the individual vineyard plots separately, in the manner of French crus, so as to obtain even more coherent and identifying glasses, respectful of a truly unique terroir.
