The area in which the winery of Stephane Ogier, heir to a family domaine now in its seventh generation, is located is one of the most important in France. In fact, the Rhône Valley is a French region where oenology reaches some of its most original and excellent peaks. The winery has experienced growing public success and today stands at an annual production of over 100,000 bottles, a volume that allows the property to reach a good compromise in terms of size. Stephane Ogier is among the most important producers in France, but maintains artisanal control and care. The vineyard boasts an area of approximately twenty hectares and the choice that characterizes the cultivation is to try to limit the yield per hectare as much as possible, in order to concentrate the quality levels of the grapes. The philosophy that guides the winery is to always seek precision in the product being packaged: this translates, for example, into vinification by parcels taken individually, in order to be able to let all the potential of a vine emerge. The variety that is of greatest importance in the winery's production is Viognier, an indigenous variety present in all the company's white wines. The red grapes are Syrah and Grenache, vines that produce structured and fragrant fruit. Like many of the typical expressions of this French region, the wines of the cellar exude notes of refined minerality. Finally, thanks to the important structure and production method they denote excellent aging potential.
