Camossi

The Camossi winery is located in the prized wine-growing region of Franciacorta and has a long and rich history that dates back many years and which initially saw the Camossi family as protagonists only in the production of grapes. The winery, as we know it today, was born recently, in 2005, from the meeting between Dario and Claudio, members of the third generation of the family, with Nico Danesi, reference oenologist of the “TerraUomoCielo” project which consists in valorising the territory, avoiding its exploitation. The SoloUva method, as the name suggests, applies sustainable criteria and, as regards the production of sparkling wines, the bunches must be harvested with postponed harvests, contrary to the tradition which provides for early harvests, and only when they are ripe, without using added sugars during the winemaking phases. Today the estate extends over approximately 24 hectares of vineyards, between the municipalities of Erbusco, Paratico and Provaglio d'Iseo. Three different areas from a geological point of view, ideal for giving life to identifying bunches, perfect for creating balanced and expressive cuvées. In the vineyard we find two international varieties, one with white grapes, Chardonnay, the other with black grapes, Pinot Noir. The bubbles produced by the Camossi family are very interesting precisely because of the particular method with which they are produced. Elegance, finesse, but above all wines that are an expression of the territory that complete the picture of the varied Franciacorta proposal in the world of the Classic Method.
