Talenti

The Talenti agricultural company was founded in Montalcino in 1980 at the behest of Pierluigi Talenti, known as Piero, who, having moved from Romagna, decided to purchase the Montalcino lands that "stole his heart" around the 1950s. Over time, with passion and perseverance Piero, thanks to his great knowledge of the Sangiovese vine, dedicated to clonal research in the area, has been able to raise his labels to very high levels of quality. Since 1999, the company has been directed by Riccardo Talenti, Piero's nephew who initially took his steps between tradition and technological innovation, two constants which together allow the winery to increasingly improve its offering. The heart of the company is the Pian di Conte farm, where there is also an ancient structure that overlooks the Orcia river valley. The property extends for 40 hectares, of which 21 hectares are planted with vines. Among these, 16 hectares are entirely dedicated to Sangiovese, from which the cellar obtains a wine with a strong personality. The remaining 5 hectares are cultivated with other native varieties such as Canaiolo and Colorino and the international vines Petit Verdot, Merlot and others.
