Domaine Cazes

Domaine Cazes can boast a long history of great wines. In 1895, Michel Cazes created this winery in the heart of Roussillon, in Rivesaltes, an area between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees. Over the years, thanks also to the commitment and passion of his son Aimè and his grandchildren Andrè and Bernard, the estate expanded more and more with the acquisition of nearby land until it reached 40 hectares in the 1950s and 1960s. hectares in 1971. Thanks to Bernard's son, in 1997 the company was completely converted into organic and biodynamic cultivation to safeguard the vines, the quality of the wine and the sustainability of the territory; the definitive certification arrived in 2005. In 2017 Domaine Cazes was able to celebrate its 20 years of biodynamic activity and currently the estate extends over 220 hectares with typical vines of the Roussillon region, mainly white grapes such as Moscato d' Alessandria, Muscat à Pétits Grains, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The Muscat de Rivesaltes from Domaine Cazes, for example, is one of the company's flagship productions, with 70% Muscat of Alexandria and 30% Muscat à Pétits Grains; it is a wine with a floral bouquet, with fruity notes and a hint of mint, suitable as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to desserts; it should be served cold. The Cazes family has always sought excellence in its production to find the best of its terroirs with the creation of high quality products. This work has been rewarded with numerous medals, awarded to the company's wines since 1960. Every year, Domaine Cazes produces a wide range of labels including high-quality red, rosé and white wines.
