Pfitscher

The Südtirol Pfitscher winery was founded in Montana in 1861 and has successfully continued the production of quality wine for seven generations. Currently this production reality is led by three generations of Pfitschers: grandfather Alfred, his son Klaus with his wife Monika and grandchildren Daniel, Hannes and Marion. Each of them plays a vitally important role in the company. Alfred, a profound expert on the territory, is a great expert on vineyards. Like him, his son Klaus is also of the vine; within the company he plays the delicate role of cellar master, supported by the experience of his son Hannes, a renowned winemaker. While his wife Monika takes care of the entire company administration and is supported in marketing by her son Daniel. Marion, however, takes care of the organization of the events. A varied work team which, in addition to blood ties, is united by the same objective: filling the glasses with elegant and characterful wines, which well represent the reference territory. It is no coincidence that those produced by the Pfitscher winery are all terroir labels that well represent the peculiarities of the South Tyrolean territory. The Pfitscher company is located on the hills that embrace Montagna. Its vineyards grow on suggestive terraces, are cultivated with respect for the environment and enjoy a microclimate characterized by strong temperature variations and dry, constant winds. These peculiarities are the essential basis that ensures the native vines to bear fruit and develop in the best possible way, giving the final consumer wines that are characterized by their elegance and minerality. The Pfitscher winery, certified CasaClima Wine, follows the philosophy of working in the vineyard, which requires absolute respect for the environment. Its production favors quality over quantity. From the vineyards cultivated in Montagna and from those of Cortaccia and Egna, the grapes are born that will be transformed into exceptional labels. Thick red and white wines. Among others, the Gewürztraminer Stoass, the Müller Thurgau Langefeld, the Pinot Noir reserves Matan, Lagrein Brenntal and many others.
